Working close to Edinburgh city centre since 2004, I offer a respectful, confidential space to reflect together on your life and find new insights and meaning
I know from personal experience that a good therapeutic relationship can help us to recover our fundamental drive for health and fulfilment, and increase our awareness, spontaneity, sense of self-worth and capacity for intimacy. These, in turn, help us to develop and maintain healthy relationships with others.
I bring to my work sensitivity, curiosity about the rich meanings in people’s stories, a joy in the exchange of ideas, and the excitement of discovery. I offer warmth, humour, and a love of diversity and the natural world.
Before starting my counselling and psychotherapy practice in 2004, I worked for several years in business and the voluntary sector, helping to build sustainable, inclusive communities which value diversity.
I am passionate about continuing to learn and grow and am committed to my own personal and professional development. I participate in two professional study/consultation groups and in online colloquia, have regular clinical supervision and keep up to date through reading and CPD events.
I work in accordance with the ethical codes and guidelines of UKCP (the UK Council for Psychotherapy).
I am an avid reader, and, whatever the weather, I like being outside enjoying nature and moving through the landscape.
